Why Electric Cars Are Greener

ev101April 22 (Earth Day) at 7:30PM - Join us as we discuss how EVs are an essential tool to address climate change, using Massachusetts as an example.

Transitioning to electric cars will be good for consumers, good for public health, and good for our local economy. But many people still don’t understand why EVs are greener, and how important it is for climate to electrify all types of vehicles as quickly as possible.

Here are the facts:
- Electric vehicles are already better for the climate than gas-powered cars. More of our electricity comes from zero-emission resources than you think.
- Because electricity generation gets cleaner every year, electric vehicles get better for the climate every year.
- If we get on track to achieve 100% renewable electricity, we can eliminate emissions from vehicles, which are currently the largest source of emissions in MA.
