Electric cars are a good choice for the environment and for all kinds of lifestyles.

Green Energy Consumers Alliance wants to see how EV drivers in Massachusetts and Rhode Island are using their electric cars to make their favorite warm-weather activities emissions-free. Whether you’re at the beach, at a concert, or at the ice cream shop, send us a photo to show how you’re driving electric this summer!

Official contest rules

  1. Entrants must submit a photo they took of their EV in a summertime setting. There must be at least one person in the submitted photo.
  2. Entrants must submit the photo using their own Facebook or Twitter account, tag Green Energy Consumers Alliance (@GEConsumers on Twitter and @GreenEnergyConsumers on Facebook), and include the hashtag #EVSummer in the caption. Entries submitted via email and text will also be considered, and will be posted to Green Energy Consumers' social media accounts (Email drivegreen@greenenergyconsumers.org or text 617-553-6497 & be sure to include your name)
  3. Only entries submitted by August 31 by 11:59 PM will be considered for the prize.
  4. A winner will be selected on the basis of creativity and photo quality through an internal poll by the staff at Green Energy Consumers Alliance.
  5. The winner will receive a $100 gift card to Patagonia and will be notified through a direct message on social media (or via text or email if that is how the photo was submitted). If the winner does not claim their prize within a week, the prize will be awarded to the runner-up. The winner will be announced publicly on September 14, the first day of National Drive Electric Week.
  6. Entrants must be 18 years or older to enter. Photos containing images of alcohol will not be considered. Entrants are free to blur out their license plate number if it appears in the photo.
  7. By submitting a photo, entrant grants Green Energy Consumers Alliance the right to use, reproduce, and edit the submitted photo in any and all media. The rights granted to Green Energy Consumers Alliance include but are not limited to the right to resize, crop, censor, compress, edit, feature, caption, and affix logos to the submitted photo.

Though the #EVSummer contest is conducted on Facebook and Twitter, it is not sponsored by or associated with Facebook or Twitter in any other way.
