Because of Medford's Community Electricity Aggregation program, most Medford residents have 21% solar, hydropower, & wind from places like the McGlynn School wind turbine! You can choose to go 100% renewable, too.

How it works

  1. Grab your electric bill, since you will need your electric account number.
  2. Go to Medford's Opt Up to 100% page.
  3. Fill out the form.
  4. Pay your electric bill as normal. Medford 100% will appear in the supply section of your bill.

What it costs:

Medford's 100% option costs $15-20 more on the average household's electric bill each month. That premium makes a big impact for developing renewable energy in New England and is 100% federally tax-deductible through the non-profit renewable energy supplier, Green Energy Consumers Alliance.
