Fall Meeting-2

“We see [2021 Act on Climate] as the foundation and framework we need to really reduce emissions and transition to a green economy in an equitable way.”

Priscilla De La Cruz, Rhode Island Director at Green Energy Consumers, in the Boston Globe

Friend,

Rhode Island's full House of Representatives will vote tomorrow, March 23rd, on the crucial Act on Climate bill. Among other things, the bill requires a just transition from a fossil fuel-based economy to a net-zero greenhouse gas economy by 2050.

Please contact your Rep ASAP to support it!

  • Before tomorrow afternoon, call your Rep! If you don't know who your Rep is, look them up here. Say: "I support the 2021 Act On Climate H-5445-sub-A."

  • Email Governor McKee (governor@governor.ri.gov). Say: "I support the 2021 Act On Climate bill, H5445-sub-A, by Representative Lauren Carson and S78-sub-A by Senator Dawn Euer."

  • Meet us on Francis St. near the Vets Auditorium at 3:15pm tomorrow for a socially distanced rally before the House vote!
